what i think about design

Subtlety is not absence.

The quiet choices are still choices. A 0.5px border instead of 1px. A tracking value that lets the eye breathe. Restraint is a decision, not a default.

The eye follows contrast, not color.

We use green here — one accent, used sparingly. Everything else is gray at various lightness values. When the green appears, it means something. That is only possible because the rest does not compete.

Spacing is load-bearing.

Whitespace does not just make things pretty. It creates groups, signals hierarchy, tells the reader where to start and stop. A crowded page is a confusing page, even if every element is correct.

Consistency is a form of trust.

A visitor moving between pages should feel like they are still on the same site. Same proportions, same rhythm, same color temperature. Novelty is easy. Coherence takes work.
